We partnered with Leuchtturm 1917 to bring you a special edition of their wildly popular Drehgriffel pen. This pen is made of precision milled aluminum and brass, lacquered and sealed. The Bujo edition pairs beautiful brass accents with a modern matte black textured finish.
The nib extends by way of twist of the brass dome cap, which features a tasteful Bujo bolt engraving.

There’s something about the body of this pen-the weight it carries, the gel ink. For me, Bullet Journaling is a way to live in the moment; it anchors my thoughts and memories as they happen. So if BUJO is about presence, then this pen feels like a thread of iron that awakens my senses as I write down my daily tasks, events, and feelings. Its anatomy draws me even deeper into the now-and that’s all I want in this season of my life.
Love this pen. Writes beautifully, is a perfect size, and it comes with a refill.
I am very picky about my writing utensils. The only other pen that I love as much as this one is the Uni-ball Zento. This pen writes very well and has only skipped a couple of times, but not enough for it to be a bad writing experience. When writing, the pen has almost a scratchy feel to it when the ink is going onto the paper, almost like a pencil, which I love. I love that it is 0.5mm, as this is my favorite diameter for pens and pencils. The barrel of the pen is very nice. The weight is balanced well, and I enjoy the size of it. It is probably my favorite EDC pen. The black and gold is a beautiful color combination, making the pen look nicer and more elegant. I use it 90% of the time for my Bullet Journal, but it is a perfect pen for everyday writing. I am very impressed and highly recommend it.
This purchase was a replacement pen. I left my first in the Drs waiting room! Both pens were black. I figure back is good for all 5 colors of Bullet Journal's I have.

Love the pen!
I love the black & brass. I'm surprised that LEUCHTTURM1917 didn't have that color combination before. My only complaint is how much the cone tapers. The body should have been longer making the cone shorter.
The pen does not write smoothly. I find the Pilot G-2 pens a much better pen to write with, or a Cross Retro. This pen writes splotchy. Not a fan.
Second pen purchase. Favorite journaling pen ive ever used.
A pen for my pocket that will not open in the course of its visit yet be ready when called. I love the twist top pen.
The pen fills cheap in qualities as if the connecting points are not flush so there’s a sense of rattle plus the ink is not smooth. It has a rough flow and it’s either the tip metal piece or the roller ball that makes noise, more importantly you need to revisit your return policy because you cannot return something if you open it but how do you ever know if you like something without opening, it especially a pen. The experience of writing is what makes customers want to invest in a pen, but when that experience doesn’t feel great or worth the expense of the product, you’re stuck with it when you don’t like it because you opened it to get the experience and by doing that you violate the policy to return the product you don’t like.
Pen is extremely short making it uncomfortable to hold.
The pen looks great and feels premium on the desk, but it doesn’t work for me functionally. The grip is very smooth and slippery, so I have to hold it tighter than normal. I also have to hold it higher up from the tip than feels natural to get the nib positioned correctly. This throws off my handwriting and makes me think about the pen instead of what I’m writing. I also contacted support to request a return and was told I’d receive a follow-up email, but never did. Beautiful design, but ergonomics just aren’t a fit for my hand or writing style.

I have only two small quibbles - it's a little short and it will sometimes slide out of my pen loop. But I like its heft and how it writes. It's a backup pen for now, as I have gone back to my Micron, but I suspect I will break it back out eventually and keep using it.
I love a .5mm width. I really disliked pen, how this felt on the page, and how my writing looks using it.

I collect writing pens. My spouse calls them my “gazingus-pens,” because I don’t use most of them. This is the smoothest writing pen I have ever used (and I’ve used some expensive ones). It’s heavy, due to the brass, but the weight is pleasant, comfortable. It feels smooth, almost soothing, to hold. It writes beautifully! I gave only for stars because I prefer longer ones for better balance (I enjoy lettering). That’s a worthwhile trade off, because this one fits in my wallet! I can journal (or sign) anywhere. My favorite pen is always with me!
Feels cheap.
I like the feel of the pen but the ink is not very smooth. Doesn’t glide like a quality pen should. I am hesitant to buy an expensive refill because the pen was already somewhat pricey. Looking for some help here…
Writes crisp and clear, perfect fit for BuJo notebook.
The pen is nice, however the ink cartridge’s roller ball seems to be defective, ink flow uneven, thicker to thin. What replacement filler will work? Or could you send me a replacement?
I'm really impressed with the whole instrument. I didn't think I would think much of the roller top, but now I think it's a wonderful idea and it works so well

While I love the look and feel of this pen, the ink is too wet and has a tendency to smear on the page.
No clip. Can't put it in a breast pocket or hook it on the elastic band of my bullet journal.
A great pen which is great for journaling. It is a good size to carry along with you in a pocket or a larger style wallet or a clutch purse. Very versatile, sturdy, and you can refill it !!!

The pen writes well - it is a fine point, which fits my journaling. It would be nice if there was a clip on the pen, but it would mess with the aesthetics...

Love this pen! I was using a fisher space pen as my EDC with my pocket bujo but this pen is SO much nicer to write with and it only a little bigger in my pocket(not enough that I notice a different) The darkness of the ink and the smooth writing are great. I am slowly replacing my other journaling and work pens to this one as well. AND I don't have to worry about plastic pen bodies going on the landfill, just replacing the ink cartridges. Love it! PS the only way this pen could be better is if they could figure out how to make the pen refill cartridges biodegradable.

I wanted to love it. I like it and overall it is okay. But what bugs me about it is every time I write I can feel the pen tip moving ever so slightly within the pen body
Pen is okay
Refill scratchy. Can’t use at normal writing angle. Threw it away and replaced with Parker Quinkflow ballpoint which is far superior.
