Love this bullet journal. I have been purchasing the official bullet journal color every year. This is a beautiful color and the book stands up to most of my fountain pens.
Quality could be better! The pages on certain spreads throughout the entire notebook are glued together by a few millimeters, which makes folding fully flat impossible at those pages. Forcing it to lay flat causes the pages to tear slightly. The paper itself is not as smooth as other notebooks; however I do love the thoughtful Bullet Journal customizations with numbered pages, dedicated index and future log pages, slight margins around the pages for breathing room or titles, pocket at the back, and three ribbon bookmarks. Once I finish this notebook, I'll go back to my soft cover brand without the quality issues.
I have the lemon yellow journal. Can’t wait to crack into this turquoise beauty next!
We were not expecting this! The spine broke after only two weeks of light use (not abuse!). For the price we paid, we were expecting much higher quality. And indeed, the other journal that we purchased at the same time is great, and so were our previous 2 Bojos. They each lasted two plus years. Could you give us a Refund or replacement?

Just getting started with BuJo so figured I should get the "official" journal to get me off on the right foot.
It’s been a long while since I’ve had one of these books. I very much appreciate the excellent paper quality and binding. Leuchtturm notebooks have pages that stick together every couple of signatures, but not the Bullet Journal. Plus I can use any pen or marker or whatever and it’s not gonna bleed through. And, the little things, like page numbers, wide margins, and my favorite—marking center and thirds on the page. TYSM for continuing to make a great product.
I am disappointed ☹️ While I like the features in the notebook, I am fairly disappointed with the paper quality. I know the description says its 120 gsm, but there is a lot of ghosting no matter which pens, brush pens I use, which seems odd. For comparison I bought an Artist Loft journal at a craft store for $10 and it does not have any of the ghosting or bleeding issues, and before purchasing books I was printing my own journal pages to use in a disc-bound notebook and it did not have the ghosting issues as well. Maybe its something that over time will not bother me, but for a $30 notebook, I expected more.
The book quality is exactly as described—Excellent. Although it arrived three days later than advertised, it did travel across the ocean to reach the UK, so I understand the delay. There’s a very slight dent during travel on the bottom left corner, but nothing that takes away from how much I love it. I’m genuinely excited to start journalling!
Ever since edition 2 came out the quality has been on the top, that has not changed, the design is masterful and the details so exquisite that they turn an everyday notebook into a luxury item. As for the color, I’m not sure I will be able to find the right words! This turquoise is so unique, I feel it changes with the light without loosing its capacity to make you feel free, inspired and ready for a fresh start. Love it!
I have been using Bullet Journal journals and systems for several years now, and this journal absolutely lives up to the quality I have come to love and expect. Beautifully made by Leuchtturm1917! I have compared other yearly journal and calendar systems, and nothing offers the flexibility of input (writing, drawing, whatever you want), paper quality, convenient size, and handy back pocket that come with Bullet Journal. Combine the tool (notebook) with the input ideas from The Bullet Journal Method book by Ryder Carroll, and nothing else can compete!
A Business Owner’s Return to Analog Clarity - and Why This Notebook Is Everything I’m a lifelong notebook lover. Over the years, I’ve filled hundreds; journals, work notes, project planning, you name it. But about ten years ago, I went fully digital: task managers, productivity apps, team tools, KPIs- all of it lived in software. It worked... until it didn’t. Lately, I started feeling overwhelmed, scattered, detached from my day-to-day. So I began stepping away. Less social media, unsubscribed from apps; and asked myself: what would it look like to feel my days again? Enter the Bullet Journal. I used the system years ago and knew it worked for my nonlinear lifestyle. I’m a business owner and a writer, and most days I easily fill two or three full pages; events, tasks, notes, feelings, decisions, stories, poems. A one-page-a-day planner simply doesn’t cut it. BuJo, however, does. And this notebook? It’s the perfect vessel. I chose the dark green version because green is my favorite color and visual cues matter. Every time I see “Bullet Journal” etched on the cover, it re-grounds me. It reminds me: this is my space to process, plan, and reflect in real-time (not months later, not buried in a digital folder) The paper is luxurious, the size is just right, and paired with my favorite pen, it makes the analog experience irresistible. I’ve kept my pages 100% minimalist-no decoration, just clean, intentional entries- but I added a bit of humor to the cover with monkey stickers as a playful reminder to quiet my monkey mind and do one thing at a time. I restarted this Bujo journey on July 29th. In just a few weeks, I’ve noticed a massive shift: clearer thoughts, less anxiety, more energy, and-shockingly- greater productivity than when I was using six different software tools. I’m more present, more in sync with what matters, and finally feel like I’m driving my life again. This notebook isn’t just paper. It’s a return to self. And I can’t wait to keep filling every page.

Both are excellent, but what makes the official journal better for bullet journaling isn't that it's already set up with the correct framework (key, index, future log, etc.), it's the thicker paper (I like gel pens) and the double dots on the pages to break up your layouts more quickly and easily.

So far this has been my tether to a reality I’m forced to pay attention to. I’ve kept and made appointments (which is novel, yes) and I’ve begun to build habits of mindfulness to support my mental health. Customizable enough to balance chaos and order, it’s my new path through the woods.
It is a very good method for mindfulness.
I'm getting a lot more done and also getting a better idea of how long things really take.
New future log format for me! I saw some examples on the website and decided to try out a vertical format with small calendars this time. Surprised by the bright gold cover and I like it!! Love the thicker pages too!

Over 10 years as a (Ryder) Bullet Journaler, I have tried off brands and other sizes of journals trying to find the perfect one for my specific preferences. I've finally accepted the official BUJO fits my preferences more than any other style I've tried, especially the latest version. I am delighted with the changes made; new colors, the measuring grid, the strength and quality of the paper, and my favorite, the Bullet Journal reference guide that fits perfectly in the back pocket. Quick access to the basics is important as I practice Bullet Journaling, certainly no expert and only follow the basics. So, I continue to practice. and my new official BUJO is perfect!

This will be my 2027 notebook. Guys, I’m usually a basic black kinda gal, but you had me at purple. It’s the fine quality paper that I love (my cartridge pen ink doesn’t leak through) and all the BuJo 2.0 details. What’s not to love?
I really like it but wished it was lilac rather than purple which looks black!

I've used the official Bullet Journal for three years now. I love the eggplant color. I'm not sure if that is the official color name, but it reminds me of eggplant or what Dodge calls craisin.
As with any Bullet Journal the inside is no surprise, but the new color is quite nice. I really enjoy the choice of something besides basic black.
I get the color of the year every year (except turquoise because it didn’t call to me, I bought a previous year color again) and I will never not order the official journal because I save time from numbering pages, the three ribbons are so handy, on top of the monthly log stickers included, and this years notebook came with a bookmark too! The color of the notebook is so rich! My favorite notebook for the last 6 years!

This is a great journal and I love the system- it helps me organize my thoughts and makes things feel less overwhelming. The quality of the paper (and the journal itself) is also a sensory pleasure- it feels sturdy and takes ink well- which helps make it easier to get over the hump and use it even on days when tasks like this are hard. I'm not avoiding cheap paper and a crumbling spine on top of my to-do list. Thanks for making a great product.
Thought by ordering from the company my products would come in better shipping material. Nope, journal came in a bag and has crushed corners.
